ZERO are not supposed to feel any pain but Yamato could. The more they fought, Yamato's ZERO mark becomes fader. At their last fight with Soubi and Ritsuka, Yamato couldn't take the pain anymore and her ZERO mark disappeared. But it was a happy ending, Kouya decided to disobey their creator and elope? LoL, kinda la and let them be reborn. =)
